Silvija Bradica is a professional make-up artist and hair stylist with years of experience in both local and international film, television and commercial production industry. She has been a member of the Croatian Society of Film Workers since 2005. During her career she collaborated with a large number of production companies and achieved a great success in her field.
In 1996 she began working for the Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) and after thirteen years she decided to continue her career as a freelancer. That allowed her more flexibility and the opportunity to work on a variety of production projects, such as numerous TV commercials, series and films. The first television project she worked on as an independent make up & hair designer was Mrtvi kutovi, a three episode TV mini-series directed by Aldo Tardozzi, followed by Kravata, a film directed by Nikola Ivanda, a 16-episode drama series Loza and Nije sve u lovi, a feature film directed by Dario Pleić.
Silvija got the opportunity to work on an international project in 2003 when she was appointed assistant make-up artist on the set of La Femme Musketeer, a TV mini-series, where she did the make-up of Susie Amy, a prominent British actress. As an assistant make-up artist she worked on other large international film co-productions, like Ultimate Force or Pipermint, starring acclaimed actors such as Michael York, Gerard Depardieu, Nastassja Kinski, John Rhys-Davies, Richard E. Grant and many others. Silvija worked as a make-up supervisor on the set of Dig, an American series directed by award-winning Gideon Raff. The last project she worked on as a make up & hair designer was An Impossible Small Object, a film directed by David Verbeek and filmed in Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
In the course of her career she worked on over 400 television commercials and had the opportunity to be the chief make-up artist for the famous Hollywood actress Milla Jovovich on one of the shoots.
During her career she worked with celebrities from the Croatian music scene and she designed make-up for music videos by musicians such as Jinx, Massimo, Gibonni, Elemental, Lollobrigida, Hladno pivo, Darko Rundek, Pips Chips & Videoclips, Svadbas, Marko Tolja and so on. Besides working in the advertising and film industry, she explored the fashion industry as well. She has been working with a renowned Croatian designer Ivona Martinko for years and she did fashion campaigns for designers Roba, Nataša Jeletić and Karaka design.
Silvija Bradica keeps perfecting her skills and frequently attends professional make-up, bodypainting and prosthetics workshops, like the workshop led by Barney Nikolic, a make-up artist nominated twice for a prestigious Emmy award. Silvija lives and works in Zagreb.
